Kenny Seaton is the Director of Central Plant Operations and Strategic Energy Projects for California State University, Dominguez Hills. He manages a team responsible for heating, cooling, and maintaining approximately 1.5 million square feet, as well as overseeing Central Plant equipment. In July of 2024, they installed the largest heat pump project on the West Coast (630 tons). This system reduced the university's Central Plant gas usage by 95%. Kenny's efforts have helped reduce GHG emissions by over 70% since 2018.
