Jesse joined Hines in 1994 as a consultant to assist in the implementation of the firm's accounting and property management software. He took over the responsibility for Hines IT as CTO in 2007 and later promoted to CIO in 2009.



As Chief Digital & Technology Officer, Chandra Dhandapani is CBRE’s most-senior global technology leader, with responsibility for all aspects of the company’s technology and digital enablement, including those serving clients and CBRE professionals. Prior to joining CBRE, she was a senior technology executive at Capital One Financial for 17 years.



Scott Zimmerman has been CenterPoint’s CIO for over 20 years and is responsible for directing the IT Department and aligning the IT strategy with the company's objectives. He is also responsible for CenterPoint’s corporate marketing activities as well as their business process initiatives.

As the VP of Information Technology at Legacy Partners Commercial, Bob Adams's career has come full circle back to the company that hired him for his very first job - as a summer intern on the building maintenance crew. Since that first job Bob spent over 12 years working at AMB (now Prologis) as the VP of IS and had a successful 7 year stint as an independent consultant working with CRE's large and small on BI, forecasting, DR, and other strategic initiatives.



Farooz Alikhan is Managing Director IT of DivcoWest and is responsible for all IT resources and initiatives. With his more than 17 years of experience, he helps define and execute the IT strategy in line with the overall business strategy.



Stuart Appley is the Technology Solutions Leader for the West Division of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions Group, where he is responsible for providing executive technology oversight, innovation and consulting to current and potential clients across the region. He was previously the Chief Information & Technology Officer at Shorenstein Realty Services, where he led the transformation of the company’s technology environment into an innovative organization, championing and leading new digital engagement opportunities. Stuart is a frequent speaker on innovation and he serves on several advisory boards for emerging technology companies, industry organizations and VCs.




Porter Bellew is VP, CIO for Federal Realty Investment Trust. He is responsible for the Trust’s information technology strategy, services, operations and team. Porter has over 25 years of experience in real estate information management.


Currently, Keith Bereskin is the Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Building Operations at HCP, a fully integrated real estate investment trust (REIT) that invests primarily in real estate serving the United States healthcare industry. Keith previously gained IT experience with companies in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Semi-Conductor sectors.



Christopher Blackman serves as SVP and CIO responsible for the day to day technology direction and implementation for Empire State Realty Trust, a leading real estate investment trust (REIT), owns, manages, operates, acquires and repositions office and retail properties in Manhattan and the greater New York metropolitan area, including the Empire State Building, the world's most famous building.


Carl Brady is Stream Realty Partners' Chief Technology Officer, specializing in the company's computer network infrastructure planning, implementation and management. Carl joined Stream Realty in 1999 with 16 years experience in commercial property management and information technology. Since then, and also while serving as a Senior Property Manager, he has called upon his experience to implement numerous advances in technology for the firm during its growth. His unique experience in technology, property management and other aspects of the real estate industry, coupled with his education, enable him to provide an exceptional level of insight and vision toward Stream's technology needs for today and the future.


Mark Brown is the Head of Technology at Starwood Retail Partners. In this capacity, he is responsible for the establishment of a robust and reliable technology infrastructure to support the growth of the company. Additionally, he plays a key role in promoting corporate efficiency and effectiveness through the establishment and continuous improvement of business processes and procedures. Previously, Mark was CIO of GGP and executive roles at Urban Retail Properties and Simon Property Group and have substantial consulting experience in the commercial real estate industry.


Chris Bursch serves as VP, IT and is responsible for all areas of technology at CBL. He has more than 30 years of experience in IT leadership within the financial services and pharmaceutical industries.


Adam Burstow joined Grosvenor in 2013 as Group IT Director responsible for creating value through technology. Grosvenor Europe invests, develops, operates and manages real estate assets and funds, specializing in mixed-use property, with strong expertise in retail and leisure and managing £2.9 billion of assets.


Greg Carey joined Tishman Speyer in August 2017 to oversee the strategy and execution of the firm's Global Information Technology function. With 13 years of experience in technology, Greg has spent the last ten focused on technology for Real Estate and Investment Management companies.


Joe Chiappetta has been VP & CTO at Simon Property Group since joining the company in 2001. Joe has responsibility for the company's core business applications, Project Management Office and Project Execution, business intelligence solutions, and new value creation consistent with the company's business strategy. In his role, he has delivered on several large scale projects, driven new business processes, and implemented leading technologies such as Salesforce.com, Hyperion Financial Management, and Cognos tools. His group leads application architecture as well as the evaluation of new technologies for the business. Prior to joining Simon, Joe was a Certified Project Manager with IBM Corporation.


Aidan is a technology thought leader and ‘implementer' who focuses on how process, information and technology-enabled change can contribute directly to sustainable business growth. With over 20 years in IT, the last five in Property and Real Estate, Aidan brings with him great experience in people leadership, strategic planning, program delivery, operations and innovation across a range of other industries including Retail, Media, FMCG, Management Consulting, Insurance, Banking and Telco.





Robert Entin is currently EVP and CIO for Vornado Realty Trust, one of the nation's largest real estate investment trusts. Mr. Entin had founded Integrated Business Systems, Inc. in 1979 combining technical engineering expertise with accounting and property management experience to provide turnkey technology solutions for the real estate industry. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University where he teaches a master’s course in IT & The Real Estate Enterprise.



Ian Feagin is currently the Director of Information Technology at Jamestown, a national, vertically integrated real estate operator with approximately $11.2 billion of assets under management. Previously, Ian was Director of Technical Support at Leapfrog for 14 years where he was responsible for providing technical services to over 10,000 users worldwide with a staff of 65 technicians.


Susan Gerock currently serves as VP, Information Technology and CIO for Washington REIT, a publicly traded REIT based in Washington, DC. She has over 20 years' experience in various technology roles spanning manufacturing, consulting, application service provider, and commercial real estate organizations. Her specialties include ERP selection and implementation, project and change management, and cybersecurity. She is also a proponent of the use of social media and the overlapping relationship between technology and marketing.


Boris Goldenberg is currently CIO of GLP, one of the largest U.S. providers of industrial real estate with over 170 million square feet under management. He is responsible for the management and direction of the company's IT operations, strategy and governance.







As VP, IT, Gord Howells is responsible for executing the corporate technology strategy and oversees Primaris’ business information, marketing and analytics systems. In his twenty-year IT career, he has extensive experience developing and executing technology strategies in a diverse range of business environments.



Sandy Jacolow joined Silverstein Properties in 2011 as Chief Information Officer, a role in which he oversees the technology initiatives that support the company's financial, operations and development, including the World Trade Center, and Silver Suites activities. Sandy has been active in the real estate industry for nearly 35 years with a focus on the institutional advisory, property management and brokerage markets.



JP Jones is currently SVP, CIO of Macerich responsible for hiring, training, developing and leading a highly proficient and cross-sectional IT team. He was initially hired within the Westcor merger to implement, upgrade and manage the applications and technologies of a public REIT with 2,000 users across multiple locations in the US. With over 28 years' experience, JP is a collaborative senior IT executive leader, business partner and solution provider.


Phil Klokis is currently the CIO for the Public Buildings Service (PBS) of the General Services Administration. He is responsible for delivering Information Technology (IT) solutions and services supporting PBS' diverse real estate operations and portfolio management consisting of 1,500 owned assets, 9,000 active leased assets and nearly 350 million square feet of office space.


Dennis Main is VP, IT at Equity Commonwealth (EQC), which is an office REIT. His responsibilities include spearheading all of IT operations and strategy.


Hazel Mann is currently Manager, Strategic Business & Technology Intelligence at KBS Realty Advisors, one of the largest owners of Class A office space. Hazel is an investment management professional spearheading finance and technology solutions with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams (finance, IT, operations) to drive company-wide strategic initiatives.



Art Mcann's primary goal is the development of Highwood's overall information technology strategy and aligning the company's technology investments with the overall business. A 20-year business technology veteran, Art was a technology consulting manager at McGladrey & Pullen before joining Highwoods in 2000, and prior to that, he was a network manager for a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. Art earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Elon University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Art is a board member on the Society for Information Management and President of the Oracle Real Estate User Group.



Kevin McCann is a senior business technology executive with over 15 years of successfully creating and implementing business-enhancing technology solutions optimizing efficiency and performance for industry-leading enterprises. He is currently VP & CIO of IRC Retail Centers, a retail real estate company with approximately $4 billion in total assets under management comprising more than 20 million square feet of leasable space.


Robb Napolitano is the Senior IT Executive for Rose Associates and is responsibile for all oversight of Rose's information and technology platforms. As a member of Rose's Senior Leadership Team, he contributes to the firms' strategic direction by using Information and Technology to reduce cost, improve operational process efficiencies and maximize revenue. Robb has more than 18 years' experience in the application of information technology solutions across multiple industries.


As Vice President in Duke Realty’s Information Technology Department, Don Oldham manages the business systems analysis and software application administration teams. These groups are tasked with reducing costs and adding efficiency to business processes using technology via the development of new software and implementation of software from third parties.



Clint Osteen is Sr. Director of IT and is responsible for directing Granite’s information services and telecommunications across the portfolio. Prior to joining Granite, Clint spent 10 years in consulting, providing commercial real estate companies technology and business improvement services.


Aaron Pais is CIO at Morguard, a fully integrated real estate company with an owned and managed portfolio of assets valued at over $21.0 billion. His diverse leadership experience includes leveraging technology to drive organizational growth, performance and profitability at some of North America's largest fully integrated residential and commercial real estate investment, development, construction and asset/portfolio management companies.


Sunder Pappu has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently the VP of Application Development & Program Management at Inland Computer Services. Prior to Inland, Sunder worked at JP Morgan Chase, Avanade and Deloitte Consulting, holding leadership positions in the areas of strategy consulting, project management and application delivery. Sunder obtained his Master's Degree from The University of Texas and has certifications in Business Process Management & Project Management.


Hal is responsible for managing all of IDI's IT operations and helping to set strategies for business process improvement and the related application of technology. Hal's real estate IT experience, prior to joining IDI in 2002, includes service with Realm, Jones Lang LaSalle/Compass Management and Leasing and Equitable Real Estate Investment Management. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science and an M.B.A. in Business Systems from the University of Georgia.


Jeremy Poteet is SVP, IT of Rouse Properties, one of the largest regional mall owners with a geographically diverse portfolio and includes 38 malls and retail centers encompassing 24.5 million square feet. Jeremy has over ten years in real estate and information technology management consulting focused in the REIT, development, construction management and home-building sectors.


Soheil Pourhashemi is currently VP, Business Technology responsible for establishing and executing the commercial real estate IT strategy, vision and roadmap for Brookfield Properties North America. Brookfield is a premier real estate operating company, providing integrated services across all property investment strategies of Brookfield Asset Management, a global alternative asset manager with over $285 billion in AUM and manages over 130 million SF of commercial property globally with approximately 80M SQ FT of commercial real estate in North America.


Annette Prater is currently CIO of GGP, one of the largest publicly traded REITs in the US. She leads its IT initiatives responsible for strategy through delivery of all technology capabilities to the organization's employees, properties, shoppers and retailers at its 120+ shopping centers.


As the Director of Information Technology at Woolbright Development, Luis Ramos is responsible for the corporate technology strategy, which includes the IT infrastructure and enterprise application platforms. Additionally, he is also responsible for implementing technology solutions toward the company’s existing business processes, and helping create new efficiencies throughout the company's business model. Since his arrival in 2004, his team has been responsible for the constant development of various industry-focused proprietary software applications and tools. These award-winning technologies have fundamentally changed the way commercial real estate has been done at Woolbright.


Joe Rich is SVP, CIO of Related Companies, a privately owned real estate firm with a portfolio of over $50 billion in real estate assets owned or under development that is made up of best-in-class mixed-use, residential, retail, office and affordable properties in premier high-barrier-to-entry markets. Joe has over 13 years experience as a CIO focused on global cultural change within the organization.


Larry Schachter is a leader of technology operations and initiatives with distinguished performance during 20+ years of diversified experience in commercial and residential real estate investment, management and ownership. He is currently CIO of Benderson Development, one of America’s largest privately held real estate companies that owns and manages over 700 properties encompassing over 40 million square feet in 38 states.


Kim Scharf is SVP, IT at DDR Corp. where she leads it information technology security, governance and recovery programs, as well as deployment of enterprise content and records management by leading the enterprise information management team. Additionally, she oversees application development for the financial systems, business intelligence, customer relationship management, mobility and web presence. DDR owns and manages 286 retail properties, representing 97 million square feet in the continental United States and Puerto Rico.


Clint Schmucker is VP, IT of Realty Income Corp. where he oversees its strategic planning, implementation and management support of technology within the company. Realty Income is a real estate investment trust with over 5,000 real estate properties owned under long-term lease agreements with regional and national commercial tenants.


Bringing more than two decades of experience to his role of SVP Operations and CIO, Chris Schneider develops and implements the overall information technology strategy for First Industrial Realty Trust, a leading national owner of industrial properties.



Justin Segal is an operations executive and entrepreneur specializing in real estate investment and management, startups, and technology. He is the founder of Stemmons Enterprise, a universal operations platform that allows companies to operate with pervasive data and unparalleled agility. He often speaks on topics involving enterprise data, analytics, and user experience.


David Silva is currently is VP, Technology at Allied Properties REIT. He is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of all the company's IT services. David has over 25 years senior IT experience and leadership.


Shaun Smith joined Phillips Edison in 2014 as its CIO where he oversees the company's information technology environment to support the company's business strategy. Previously, he served as CIO for The Related Companies where he led a large team of technology staff in developing and implementing technology initiatives to support the company's overall goals and profitability. Awards garnered include Realcomm's 2010 Digie Award for "Best Use of Automation” and the Accommodation Medal for application development which he earned while serving in the US Air Force.


Julie Sokol is SVP, IT at the Irvine Company. In her role, she is responsible for the overall performance and delivery of information technology and technology innovation across the company. She has an extensive background in strategic consulting and working with organizations to apply technology to transform and differentiate themselves.


Adam Stanley provides strategic and operational direction for Cushman & Wakefield client facing and colleague technology systems and infrastructure across all global business lines. Drawing on his more than 20 years of industry experience and as an integral member of the global executive team, Adam is a change agent with proven success driving growth, performance, talent retention and innovation. Under Adam's leadership, DTZ (now merged with Cushman & Wakefield) was named to the CIO100 for 2015 by CIO Magazine. He is deeply involved in the civic and charitable community and in addition to Board roles, provides pro-bono technology, operations and organizational strategy advisory services to non-profit organizations.


Helane Stein is SVP, CIO of Brixmor, an owner and operator of one of the nation's largest portfolios of open-air shopping centers, with approximately 500 commercial real estate properties strategically located across 38 states.


Thomas Taddeo is SVP, CIO at Kimco. He is responsible for the overall technology strategy, systems and infrastructure which support Kimco's global business operations. He also directs the implementation of enterprise initiatives that leverage technology to improve organizational efficiency and productivity. Prior to joining Kimco, Tom was a Senior Manager at Deloitte in their Real Estate Consulting Practice. He has a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.




Ian Turnbull is CIO at First Capital Realty, a Canadian public real estate company that develops, owns and operates over 23.8 millions gross leasable area of urban retail properties.


Brandon Van Orden is SVP & CIO for Cousins Properties Incorporated based in Atlanta. He is responsible for Cousins technical vision and all aspects of the Information Technology organization including people, strategy, development and operations. Prior to joining Cousins in 2016, Brandon was VP of Global Applications for Novelis and prior to that he was with GE Energy for 12 years where he held a number of IT leadership roles increasing in responsibility after he graduated from the GE Information Technology Leadership Program in 2003.


Renato Vanin is VP, IT of RioCan, Canada's largest Real Estate Investment Trust. He leads and manages the strategy, delivery and operations of IT services in support of the company's objectives.



Cheryl VanPatten is SVP, CIO of Washington Prime Group. She is responsible for providing solutions, direction and leadership regarding information technology to corporate and field operations and to other business partners. Washington Prime Group is a retail REIT and an owner, manager and developer of retail properties.


Edward Wagoner is Global CIO, Corporate Solutions at JLL. He is globally responsible for all aspects of JLL’s technology for corporate occupiers, including the business strategy, marketing, development, deployment and support.



Xavier Walker is a strategic and commercial thinking IT leader with a hands on approach who has delivered large scale change and IT programmes, both internal and customer facing. He is currently CIO/Head of Technology at British Land, one of the largest property development and investment companies in the UK.



Jim Whalen serves as SVP and CIO responsible for the direction and implementation of technology and applications at Boston Properties, a fully integrated real estate investment trust and one of the largest owners and developers of Class-A office properties in the United States. Over a 27 year IT career, Jim has supported real estate operations ranging from residential, construction, public housing, commercial office and retail.


Park Wong is VP, IT of Oxford Properties. He is responsible for providing IT vision, strategy and leadership while partnering with the business leaders in leading and driving both traditional IT services as well as proactively proposing innovative solutions to solve increasingly scalable business needs.


Damien Wu is CIO of Link Asset Management Limited, currently Asia’s largest REIT. He is responsible for the formulation and management of its information technology strategy and functions. Damien has over 20 years of IT management, IT consulting and IT Startup experiences.


Ilan Zachar is currently Chief Technology Officer at Carr Properties, a privately held REIT known for its portfolio of trophy-quality properties in the Washington D.C. In this role, Ilan leverages vision and foresight to cross-pollinate best practices, processes, systems and resources across corporate operations/affiliates. Under his leadership, this has resulted in improvements in bottom-line costs, top-line business growth/scalability, operational sustainability and high performance and overall, strengthening his company’s role as a market leader. For over 20 years, Ilan has been executive business leader and innovative technology strategist for multinational real-estate and property development companies worldwide.

Arv Gupta is an accomplished operations executive with over 25 years of experience in leading business renewal, and building sustainable customer value propositions with a number of major retail organizations. Arv is currently responsible for driving national operational efficiency and effectiveness, while maintaining a standard of excellence in customer experience across all Cadillac Fairview properties.



Steve Lefkowitz is a results-driven and profit-minded executive in the national corporate real estate world with the proven ability to effectively manage large-scale real estate portfolios. He is a 35-year veteran of Time Warner where he has held multiple titles including SVP of CRE for HBO. As the current head of Global Facilities Management for Time Warner he oversees FM operations and directs a center of excellence organization supporting delivery of hard and soft services across their diversified global portfolio of properties.



Darrell Smith has more than 20 years of experience in facility management, with a wide range of industry experience in technology, retail, data centers and manufacturing. He is currently the director of Central Services for Google's Bay Area Portfolio where he oversees a team who is responsible for the facility management, critical environments, planning and other facilities services at one of the most innovative companies in the world. Having spent his career at the intersection of real estate, big data and technology, Darrell believes in using technology as an enabler for progress and optimization.

Stephen Adams had over twenty years’ experience in the management of A Class office buildings and Regional Shopping Centers. Currently he is overseeing the migration of a 500,000-sf office complex in downtown Toronto from a multi-tenant format to a single user headquarters. A key component of this program is the introduction of an integrated Smart Building environment. The key outcome is for integrated base building systems and data analytics driving tenant comfort efficiency and reducing operational risk.



Ryan Allbaugh has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Currently, he leads highly knowledgeable and collaborative teams to design and implement technical solutions for Wells Fargo’s corporate properties group. As the former CIO of the largest private commercial real estate developer in the southeast, Ryan applied his extensive knowledge to implement technology solutions impacting the real estate industry, such as his role in the development of one of the most technologically sophisticated buildings in the world, the Duke Energy Center in Charlotte, NC.


Peter Asmus is a principal research analyst contributing to Navigant Research’s Energy Technologies program, with a focus on emerging energy distribution networks models such as nanogrids, microgrids, and virtual power plants. His expertise also includes wind energy, marine hydrokinetic technologies and renewables generally. Asmus has over 28 years of experience in energy and environmental markets as an analyst, writer, book author and consultant.



Kevin Bates is the owner of Sharp Development company. Over the past six years, he has concentrated on retrofitting older generation concrete tilt-up buildings that are carbon neutral, have a net zero energy bill as well as a strong emphasis on the health and wellness of the interior environment for the occupants. The driver for Kevin is to demonstrate that this way of repurposing existing building stock can be done in a manner that is more profitable for the ownership than the less expensive way of building to meet minimum code.



As VP, Energy Management, Rich oversees enterprise-wide energy management initiatives for the diversified 110 MSF Irvine Company real estate portfolio including utility account management, energy procurement, metering, Energy Star benchmarking, demand response and new energy technologies. Prior to joining Irvine Company in 2006, he held positions in facilities management and engineering in semiconductor and aerospace manufacturing. He holds a BSME from Santa Clara University, a MSME from CSU-Long Beach and is a California Professional Engineer.




Dave Clute has been an AEC/FM/IT Design Professional for over 35 years. He spent 10 years at Cisco Systems and 5 years at Zurich Insurance before he joined ESD in 2017. Dave is currently leading the Intelligent Building Practice for ESD Global. He is responsible for providing thought leadership, leading key initiatives and assisting clients and project teams deliver "truly intelligent buildings."



Scott Cochrane is President and CEO of Cochrane Supply & Engineering, overseeing six branches throughout three states and one in Canada. He is an advisory council member for multiple industry manufacturers such as Honeywell, Johnson Controls, and Tridium.



Daniel Cocosa has 32 years' experience in Communication Infrastructure. For the last 10, he has been the Regional Facility Manager at Google's Northern California Portfolio where he is responsible for developing strategies and systems that support over 5.5 million SF office space and growing R&D, along with the organization's Networked Fire Systems that connects 95 buildings. These systems were built from the ground up using state-of-the-art technologies and often converging systems. Dan has been instrumental in providing staff the high tech tools to support their ongoing maintenance practices for monitoring power; gas; water; 10,000 panel solar arrays; fuel cells and geothermal plant.






Traci Doane joined JLL in 2016 as the President of Technology Solutions and is responsible for defining strategic direction, overall financial operations and business development performance. She has more than 26 years’ experience in workplace management services and technology solutions for CRE and FM.


John Dulin is a 30-year global telecom and enterprise executive and has held senior positions in product management, marketing and sales in the areas of fiber optics, wireless and new technology development. Currently with Corning, John is focused on introducing its fiber optic and wireless innovations to the commercial real estate market.


Maureen Ehrenberg currently serves as Executive Managing Director of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), Corporate Solutions for the Americas and Chair of its IFM Global Specialty Board. She is an internationally recognized expert in the facility management field,and provides strategic direction and expertise to a team of 8,000 who currently manage more than 760 million square feet of property in the Americas and provides leadership to the members of JLL’s Global IFM Board.



As CIO and Managing Director of Technology for Related Companies, Kenneth Finnegan manages the development of technology processes and teams to support Hudson Yards, the largest private real estate development in US history and in New York City since Rockefeller Center. The site will include more than 18 million square feet of commercial and residential space.




Joydeep Ganguly is currently the VP of Corporate Engineering, Facilities and Operations at Gilead Sciences, where he is responsible for designing and executing its engineering, facilities and Infrastructure strategy. Passionate about engineering sciences and advanced analytics in the industry, Joydeep has been published in this space in numerous journals and holds multiple patents in the area of bioprocess optimization.



David Giddings currently directs Oxford's National Operating & Technical services initiatives aimed at enhancing site delivery of service excellence, best operating practices and enhancing returns for our its stakeholders. He leads a team of individuals that deliver programs leveraging Oxfords scale to address efficiency, expertise and governance. David is presently heading the company's effort to develop a National Standard for Smart Buildings, which includes a single converged network utilized by all base building systems.


John Gilbert is the EVP, COO and CTO of Rudin Management Company, which owns and operates 15 million feet of commercial and residential space within the City of New York. John is Chairman of the New York Building Congress Energy Committee and has served on several of Mayor Bloomberg's Advisory Committees, including the Mayor's Energy Policy and Sustainability Task Force, and the Advisory Committee for Broadband Deployment. John also is a member of the New York City Green Codes Task Force: Industry Advisory Committee, Green Light New York, New York City Investment Fund's Cleantech Sector Group and the Mayor's Clean Heat Advisory Task Force.
