Oxford Properties | 1133 Melville The Stack: Office Space Transformed

The IBcon Smart Building Best Practice Showcase is an annual event held at the Realcomm | IBcon conference where real estate leaders present their most innovative, technology driven commercial and corporate real estate projects. These projects demonstrate leading-edge technologies and vision for intelligent and adaptive design that is transforming the next generation of IT-enabled real estate. The Weekly News Briefing will feature a unique Showcase project each week.
The Stack at 1133 Melville in Vancouver is the tallest office development in the city, featuring a twisting, stacked box design and unobstructed panoramic views from its 6,000 SF rooftop outdoor terrace. It is the first commercial high-rise tower in Canada to achieve the CaGBC's Zero Carbon Design certification and is future-proofed with integrated smart technology.
Built to LEED Platinum green building standards, the design includes a high-performance triple-pane glazing window system, smart building technology to optimize energy use and building systems performance, a rooftop solar panel array and a rainwater collection system for non-potable water uses. The Stack was planned with workplace wellness as key for bringing employees back to the office.
