Cisco, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Tridium & Yardi to Discuss the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Impact to Commercial and Corporate Real Estate!
The last twelve months have brought a flurry of activity around the topic of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Internet of Everything (IoE). Every major technology company now has an initiative surrounding this movement.
For those familiar with technology this may sound very much like machine-to machine (M2M), a subject that has been around for some time. However, the IoT movement seems to be going beyond anything we have envisioned before.
The IoT vision includes both business and consumer activities, encompasses mobile and cloud platforms and ultimately sees a world that is completely interconnected.
For commercial and corporate real estate industry, this means that every device in a building will be connected to the network, sharing information with integrated information management platforms and radically changing how we operate buildings, portfolios, campuses and cities.
The BUILDING Internet of Things (BIoT) is the beginning of the next chapter of our industry's transformation. Disconnected analog processes will be replaced with highly automated systems, which will lead to more efficient, engaging and profitable real estate.
This world-class group of industry leaders will provide insight and vision into the changes that are coming and what BIoT means for our industry's future.
