Smart Building Strategy

Snap-On Spaces: A Global Look at Innovative Modular Construction Technologies
Date: 6/3/2025    Time: 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm    Location: 104
The commercial real estate industry faces persistent challenges related to housing and labor shortages, extended project timelines, and rising construction costs, and potential supply chain derailment, driving the need for more efficient building methods. Modular (and panelized) construction have emerged as a transformative approach, leveraging pre-fabricated components to streamline development, reduce material waste, and improve cost predictability. This session will examine strategies for integrating modular solutions into existing workflows, addressing key considerations such as design adaptability, supply chain coordination, and on-site assembly. Industry leaders will discuss the advantages of accelerated project delivery, enhanced quality control, and improved sustainability, along with insights into overcoming structural and regulatory hurdles to maximize long-term values.
