Boxer Property First to Deploy Enterprise-Wide AI for CRE

Boxer Property has become a dynamic, award-winning, high-tech real estate company by leveraging advanced technologies in their everyday work. More impressively, Boxer was the first commercial real estate company to successfully integrate enterprise-grade AI applications into their everyday workflows – as early as 2018!

In 2010, Boxer Property wanted to scale operations rapidly while preserving quality services and operational excellence. However, as with many companies, Boxer’s internal toolkit was a mix of many different siloed software solutions, spreadsheets, and standalone documents, coupled with institutional knowledge held by a few key individuals. This fragmentation of corporate data and business information jeopardized the ability to scale efficiently across departments, inhibiting growth and adding significant risk to their business. Sound familiar?

Boxer Property knew they needed a unified, flexible system to enable employees across the company access and update information without extensive training. Instead of adding more point solutions (and not finding a suitable commercial solution in the market) Boxer decided to develop a flexible, cross-functional, highly adaptable platform as the initial design partner for what was then called Stemmons Enterprise.

The Stemmons platform created a single source of enterprise data, connected various business departments, provided a single platform for all employees to use, and enabled seamless interoperability using both internal and external data. With the development of this new platform, Boxer processes and institutional knowledge became valuable enterprise assets, creating a foundation for sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Embedding artificial intelligence and advanced analytics into everyday workflows was a natural extension. Boxer began adding AI agents to the platform in 2018, starting the integration of artificial intelligence into daily operations. Their early adoption of AI focused on automating routine tasks and enhancing data accuracy, providing Boxer with impactful tools without overhauling existing workflows.

Rebranded as “Brava Systems”, the enhanced platform now offers embedded AI functionality that can easily analyze data across the enterprise, predict trends, automate routine tasks, respond quickly, and optimize operations. Brava Systems quickly transformed Boxer into a hyper-efficient, responsive, scalable, AI-driven organization.

Boxer Property employees now activate AI tens of thousands of times per month for functions such as:

  • Lease abstraction
  • Deal screening and scoring
  • Marketing, sales, and lead processing
  • Document summary and profiling
  • Investment strategy matching
  • Construction project operations
  • Customer service and work requests
  • Asset management
  • Acquisitions and dispositions
  • Departmental expert agents
  • Lease language generation
  • HR operations and onboarding; Employee coaching
  • Workflow augmentation, and more…

Boxer also uses Brava to automate leasing pipelines and facilitate entry into new asset classes and investment strategies. With Brava’s support, Boxer added hotels, retail, land, lending, restaurants, multifamily, and golf courses to diversify their portfolio beyond commercial office space.

Before the development of Brava Systems, Boxer’s operations relied heavily on fragmented workflows, manual processes, and individual knowledge. Each department had its own systems, terminology, and specialized information – which hindered the flow of data across the organization. At that time, duplicated efforts, disjointed activities, project delays, and slow turnaround times were common. Sound familiar?

Since implementing Brava Systems, Boxer has realized significant efficiency and performance improvements. The platform has greatly reduced operating and capital expenses, streamlined prospecting and lead generation, compressed the leasing cycle, enhanced customer service and support, and reduced issue resolution times. By automating routine and repetitive tasks, Brava Systems has freed up team members to focus on higher-value activities.

Additionally, consolidating multiple software tools into a single platform reduced licensing, training, and maintenance costs, improving the bottom line. Boxer estimates that these efficiencies translate into approximately $15 million in annual savings for the company.

The development of Brava Systems over the past 10+ years has delivered significant operational value to dozens of customers and fueled rapid growth. With a data-driven AI-enhanced platform, Brava Systems excels in real-world commercial real estate use cases, delivering significant cost savings, operational efficiency, and innovative services to all types of businesses.

Now spun off as a separate company and rebranded as Brava Systems, the product is available in the market commercially. With a proven customer base of dozens of customers, embedded AI functionality, more than 100 prompts already built for CRE, Brava Systems offers plug-and-play, enterprise grade, secure AI solutions for any business wanting to deploy valuable AI tools across their organization.

“Boxer’s vision for operational excellence and hyper-scalability drove the creation of Brava Systems – a powerful, adaptable solution that has become the leading AI-enabled platform for commercial real estate,” said Justin Segal, President, Boxer Property.
