Connected Smart Communities – Is the Vision Meeting the Reality?

Some of the most spectacular, visionary megaprojects in Europe, the Middle East and Asia are striving to incorporate a host of concepts never before seen in modern urban design: resource conservation, alternative energy and “smart grid” technologies, GHG and air quality standards, physical security, smart health, education and transportation services - all tethered together in a gigabit fiber network providing ‘ubiquitous’ connectivity ultimately resulting in a dramatic difference in how we live, work and play. Are there best practices we can point to? In this February 3rd General Session we’ll explore these questions and also showcase 3 of the most innovative intelligent urban projects in the world and hear from the visionary leaders charged with making them a reality.
