PROPERTY-TECH- Innovations in PM & FM

At the property/building level there are an inordinate amount of both Property and Facility Management functions that can be streamlined for the benefit of the tenant and the bottom line. Ranging from property portals for tenant communications to the way maintenance orders are processed, there are business processes that have already begun the path to better efficiency through automation. While some of the more traditional thinking from both Property Management and Facility Management might simply suggest to “tweak” an existing process, those from the IT or business solutions community might choose to be a bit more aggressive in their rethinking of the process. Because of the maturation of technology, the increasing overlap of PM and FM and the introduction of IT executives into the mix, it is becoming increasingly clear that the business process found at the building level will begin to morph and that automation will continue to redefine these very traditional functions. This track will focus on those functions found in the operations of a building that are ready for automation or have already begun the journey towards hyper efficiency.
